The Fayette SDA Church held its maiden Ministry Expo in the Multi-Purpose Building on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 7:00 pm.
The setting had the feel of a movie set with its collection of props, a kissing booth, drone, a green screen photo booth, and of course, the stars of the night: a host of ministry leaders and their assistants. Not to be outdone were the extras comprised of the children, young adults, visitors, and seniors. As the extras rotated from booth to booth they were enlightened about the work of each department and invited to volunteer.
However, the most anticipated segment of the program was the coveted signature from each department which gave everyone a chance to enter for a prize.
As the evening progressed, screams of delight emanated from the young and young at heart as Pastor Harvey and Evoy Labeach drew the winning tickets. Whoever thought winning was overrated just ask Sonia Shirley, Fred Bucknor, Marlene Grant-Peart, and Sara-Michelle Edwards, all of whom danced for joy and let out shrieks of delight when their ticket number was announced.
Indeed the Ministry Expo was a huge success and received rave reviews from all who attended.
